WxWindows and GTK+ offer many of the features of MFC but they have the added benefit of being portable. Why tie yourself to a specific platform when these GUI libraries are freely available in source form.

Like MFC you may pay for support for WxWindows so support is not the issue here.

Before you embark on a C++ GUI project, be sure to consider these alternatives to MFC.
